A study on the experience of adolescent-victim referred to autonomous committee for school violence countermeasure - focusing on art therapy

Abstract
This study sought to elucidate a more specific process of lived-experience of art therapy of adolescents who were referred to autonomous committee for school violence countermeasure through qualitative research using phenomenology as the theoretical basis. Results of the study were as follows. First, adolescents who had been in the autonomous committee for school violence countermeasure, showed ¡°Often caught in other students' provocations." ¡°The world is half bad but half good.¡± Second, adolescents who were referred to the autonomous committee for school violence countermeasure said, ¡°When I get the art therapy, I just feel refreshed!", ¡°Art is the only friend of mine.", ¡°This is the best time.", ¡°When I talk about myself in the therapy room, I just get comfortable!". Through an image used in art therapy and with their expression saying they want to be protected and are willing to overcome their trauma from school violence, they integrated healing by making their body, time, space, and relationship that has been experienced from expressing through art meaningful. This study can be meaningful in that it can broaden the understanding of art therapy of adolescents referred to the autonomous committee for school violence countermeasure.
